Now that bathing suit weather is officially on its way, now is the perfect time to start getting your body toned and ready for the beach. But what are you supposed to do if you can’t afford to go to the gym? The truth is there’s always time to exercise but it doesn’t actually have to be at a gym. There are plenty of ways to burn calories and get toned without even having to put on your workout clothes.
Walk to Work:
If this means you have to be up 30 minutes earlier so be it! Walking to work is a great way to not only get your heart rate up but also burn extra calories first thing in the morning.
Ride a Bike:
When the weekend rolls around and you have a bunch of errands to run, ride a bike to your appointments and shops instead. If you don’t own a bike, many cities have bike share programs where you can rent a city bike for up to two days.
Grab your friends and head to a bar that plays nothing but classic hits and dance the night away! This is a great way to burn calories because you won’t feel like your working out.
Clean Your House:
We don’t know about you but thoroughly cleaning your house can really cause you to break a sweat! From vacuuming to dusting, polishing to scrubbing really put some effort into your motions and you’ll feel your entire body start to work.
Take Your Dog for a Run:
Now that the weather is nice going for long walks (or runs) are much more enjoyable for both you and your pooch. Take your dog to the beach or to a local trail and go for a brisk run.
