It doesn’t matter how early you go to bed or how early you wake up in the morning, no matter how hard you try you still manage to wake up in a scrambled, chaotic rush.
But we’re here to tell you that that if you alter your morning routine slightly there’s a way to make more out of the time that you do have and set yourself up for a happier and more organized day.
Prep Meals the Night Before
Making your breakfast and lunch while you’re in a rush will only result in you making poor food choices. Take some time the night before to prep a healthy breakfast and lunch that you can grab and eat on the go. Pre cut up fruit, cook a batch of oatmeal, or measure out some yogurt and fresh berries for breakfast. And make a salad, or healthy stir-fry for lunch.
Avoid Hitting the Snooze Button
If you’re the type of person who hits the snooze button multiple times before getting up you’ll always feel exhausted and groggy. As soon as your alarm goes off, switch it off and immediately get out of bed. If willpower is a bit of an issue, place your alarm on the other side of your room so that you have to get out of bed in order to turn it off.
Make a Checklist of What you Need
Before you fall asleep, make sure to make either a mental checklist or an actual checklist of all the things you need to remember to bring in the morning such as your keys, medication, exercise gear (if you go after work), wallet, and anything else you might need through out the day.
Plan Your Outfit
Organize your outfit, from tops and bottoms, to undergarments, accessories, and shoes the night before. This will allow you to throw on your outfit without having to waste time deciding what to wear. Make sure to not forget about your socks — although you might think no one will be able to see them under your pants when they do peek out you want your socks to be able to compliment your outfit accordingly. The Yo Sox team always suggests going with a pair that compliments your outfit without being overpowering. That’s why the Yo Sox team loves a pair of socks in a subtle yet fun pattern.
